Khwarizmi: 350 Military Regime Soldiers Killed or Wounded Since Start of War, 40 Posts Captured

The Ministry of National Defense has shared details with journalists regarding clashes over the past 24 hours with Pakistan’s military forces near the Durand Line.

Ministry spokesperson Enayatullah Khwarizmi said that during this period, 25 clashes occurred between Afghan forces and what he described as Pakistan’s military regime. As a result, dozens of Pakistani posts were seized, four soldiers were killed, and one was captured alive.

Khwarizmi added that during the retaliatory “Radd al-Zulm” operations, a significant quantity of light and heavy weapons belonging to Pakistani militias had also been seized as war spoils.

“In the past 24 hours, 25 clashes took place in various areas along the Durand Line, including both offensive and defensive operations,” Khwarizmi said. “In these engagements, 13 enemy posts were destroyed and overrun by Mujahideen forces. Four enemy soldiers were killed and several others wounded.”

He further stated that since the start of the conflict, 40 Pakistani military posts have been captured, more than 150 soldiers killed, and over 200 wounded.

According to Khwarizmi, in the six days since the fighting began, 28 Afghan soldiers have been killed and 42 others wounded.

“Since the launch of the Radd al-Zulm retaliatory operations, around 40 enemy posts have been captured and more than 150 soldiers killed. These figures are neither exaggerated nor inflated but reflect real numbers,” he said. “Based on our information, more than 200 enemy soldiers have also been wounded, though the actual number may be higher. The total casualties of Afghanistan’s national defense forces since the beginning of the war stand at 28 martyrs and 42 wounded.”

The Islamic Emirate also claimed that following casualties inflicted on Pakistani forces along the Durand Line, Pakistani troops carried out air and rocket attacks against Afghan civilians. It said that more than 100 civilians — including 65 women and children — have been killed, and over 120 others wounded.

Deputy Spokesman Hamdullah Fitrat stated that in airstrikes and mortar attacks in Nangarhar, Kunar, Paktika, Khost, Paktia, and Kandahar provinces, 110 civilians have been killed so far, more than 65 of whom were women and children. He added that 123 others — the majority women and children — have been injured.

Fitrat accused Pakistan’s military of committing crimes in Afghanistan and called on international human rights organizations and the United Nations to condemn what he described as war crimes and to take action to prevent further attacks.

“The Islamic Emirate strongly condemns this aggression and attacks on civilians, calling them crimes,” Fitrat said. “We call on international human rights organizations, the United Nations, and other relevant institutions to condemn these attacks and civilian casualties, stand with the oppressed Afghan people, and stop these reckless and aggressive actions by Pakistani forces. The Islamic Emirate’s defense and security forces have the legitimate right to defend their territory and people.”

Despite the escalation, the Islamic Emirate reiterated that Afghanistan does not seek war, stating that the conflict was imposed by the Pakistani side. It also reassured all countries and the international community that Afghan territory will not pose a security threat to any other nation.
