The war between United States, Israel, and Iran has entered its 13th day, with both sides continuing attacks on each other. The U.S. Secretary of Defense recently stated that on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, they carried out the most destructive strikes on Iran so far.
He added that the attacks were based on precise intelligence and carried out using advanced combat aircraft targeting sensitive locations in Iran.
Pet Hext said: “Today was once again a heavy day of airstrikes in Iran. Compared to previous strikes, the largest number of combat aircraft participated, and the most intense bombing was carried out based on advanced intelligence.”
According to Reuters citing the Pentagon, 8 U.S. soldiers were killed and about 108 others injured in the conflict with Iran, though some other U.S. media reports estimate about 150 injured.
At the same time, Iran’s President referred to previous invasions by foreign powers, saying that aggressors will face defeat and regret their actions.
President Masoud Pezeshkian stated: “Iran is the heir to 6,000 years of civilization. Throughout history, no power has been able to erase this great legacy. Those who underestimate it have learned nothing from Iran’s history. The destructive have come and gone, but Iran remains.”
In addition, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran warned against the imposition of U.S. demands by force, saying Tehran will never accept requests that threaten national sovereignty and independence.
Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, a key maritime route for global energy transit, he responded to threats by former U.S. President Trump, stating that it would remain closed to attacks on Iran.
Ali Larijani added: “The Strait of Hormuz will either be open for peace and prosperity for all or closed to those seeking war.”
According to Iran state media, since February 28, when U.S. and Israeli surprise airstrikes began, nearly 10,000 civilian targets have been hit, over 1,300 civilians have died, and thousands more have been injured.
Meanwhile, Israeli officials reported that 13 people have been killed and over 500 injured in Iranian missile attacks so far.
