The Minister of Foreign Affairs held a phone call with the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates, discussing the current situation between Afghanistan and Pakistan, as well as the regional security conditions.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amir Khan Muttaqi stated during the call that Afghanistan, as a neighboring country, seeks to resolve its issues with Pakistan through dialogue and mutual understanding. He emphasized that Afghanistan does not allow its territory to be used against Pakistan and that serious measures have been taken in this regard.

Muttaqi also noted that all of Afghanistan’s actions toward Pakistan have been defensive and that the country reserves the legitimate right to self-defense in case of aggression.

Deputy spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Zia Ahmad Takal, said:
“Molvi Amir Khan Muttaqi also stated regarding the Afghanistan-Pakistan situation that Afghanistan, as a neighbor, wants to resolve issues with Pakistan through dialogue and understanding. It does not allow anyone to use Afghan territory against Pakistan, and serious steps have been taken in this regard. The Foreign Minister added that all military actions against Pakistan were defensive, and in case of aggression, Afghanistan considers its right to legitimate self-defense.”

Meanwhile, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan said that the ongoing situation and conflict between Afghanistan and Pakistan is not in the interest of either side. He stressed that his country will continue efforts to help resolve the issue between Kabul and Islamabad.

The UAE Foreign Minister said:
“The ongoing tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan are not in the interest of either side, and we will continue our efforts to help resolve the issue.”

At the same time, he also held a phone call with his Pakistani counterpart, Ishaq Dar. The Pakistani side emphasized strengthening regional security and condemned attacks on Iran in Arab countries, while Pakistan has carried out attacks on Afghanistan in recent months, targeting public facilities and civilians.

Analysts say that, along with the UAE, countries such as Saudi Arabia, China, and Russia could help resolve the dispute between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

They add that it is clear Afghanistan’s territory has not been used against other countries, and that Afghanistan seeks good relations with all nations and believes in resolving issues through dialogue.

Political analyst Shahzada Masoud said:
“The UAE and other influential regional countries such as Saudi Arabia, China, and Russia can play a positive role in this issue. Afghanistan’s territory has never been used against another country and will not be allowed to be used. In my view, there should be lasting stability among all countries in the region.”

During the phone call, Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi also expressed concern about the expansion of conflict in the Middle East, adding that attacks by Israel and the United States on Iran have threatened the security of the entire region.
