Former Afghan President Hamid Karzai held a meeting with Iran’s special representative and ambassador for Afghanistan, Hassan Kazemi Qomi, on Tuesday June 20, 2023.
In a press release issued by Karzai’s press office, it was stated that they discussed the current situation in Afghanistan and the region, the development of ties between the two countries, and joint cooperation in the meeting.
Referring to the provision of security conditions, both sides said that opportunity has been provided for domestic and foreign investors for their commercial and economic activities in Afghanistan and requested its increment.
Meanwhile, optimisms have been expressed that the commercial and economic cooperation between the two countries will expand further, with which unemployment will end and facilities will be provided to the people.
