Afghans in Europe Launch Protests Against Military Regime Attacks on Afghanistan

A number of Afghans staged a protest in front of the Pakistani embassy in the United Kingdom, condemning Pakistan’s attacks on Afghanistan. They described the attacks, which have resulted in civilian casualties, as a crime.

In addition to the UK, Afghans in France also raised their voices against Pakistan’s attacks on Afghanistan. Chanting anti-Pakistan slogans, they stated that Pakistan cannot tolerate a self-reliant Afghanistan in its neighborhood and seeks to weaken it through conspiracies.

One protester said:
“The terrorist military and intelligence agencies of Pakistan, which have set Afghanistan on fire and shed Afghan blood over the past five decades, still cannot tolerate Afghanistan’s progress and unity. They are shifting their internal conflicts and economic problems onto Afghans.”

Protesters in Europe, while condemning Pakistan, also called on the international community to help ensure regional stability by preventing attacks on innocent Afghans.

Another protester said:
“We will defend our land and homeland anywhere, and with courage—regardless of the cost or sacrifice. The Pakistani military regime has recently been carrying out aggression and indiscriminate bombardments on Afghan territory, resulting in the killing of our civilians. We call on the international community, the United Nations, and the UK government and parliament to prevent these crimes and attacks by Pakistan.”

Similarly, a protest was held in Norway against Pakistan’s attacks. A resolution calling for the prevention of these attacks and highlighting alleged crimes committed by Pakistan was submitted to the United Nations and the International Criminal Court.

Analysts have praised the unified stance of Afghans, both domestically and abroad, on national issues and have supported the voices of protesters in Europe opposing Pakistan’s attacks.

Political analyst Khalil Ahmad Nadim said:
“The fact that Afghans are now raising their voices across the world against Pakistan’s aggression shows Afghan unity and works in Afghanistan’s favor. This will bring Afghan voices to the international stage and expose Pakistan’s actions. Pakistan is interfering, killing civilians, and targeting civilian infrastructure. The United Nations has now lost its effectiveness and can do little beyond issuing statements.”

Previously, protests against Pakistan’s actions in Afghanistan were also held in Germany, Belgium, and several other countries.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, Pakistani military forces targeted civilian homes and schools in Narai district and Asadabad city of Kunar province using mortar fire.

As a result of these attacks, one civilian was martyred and 17 others were injured.
