The Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hafez Zia Ahmad Takal, said on Twitter that with the efforts of the General Directorate of the monitoring on the decrees of the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the General Manager of prisons, according an agreement made with the Islamic Republic of Iran 101 Afghan prisoners were handed over to the Afghan government through Abreshum Port in the Western Province of Nimroz.
Meanwhile, the Iranian media also quoted from Askar Jalalian, the Deputy Minister of Human Rights and International Affairs of the Ministry of Justice of Iran that they handed over 101 Afghan prisoners to the Afghan government yesterday.
Iranian media also reported that these prisoners were handed over to the Afghan side through the Western Province of Nimroz yesterday and will serve the rest of their imprisonment in Afghanistan.
Iran had previously handed over a number of Afghan refugees imprisoned in the country to the IE.
