Foreign Ministry Summons Pakistan’s Ambassador in Kabul

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has summoned Pakistan’s ambassador in Kabul following Pakistani military airstrikes on Nangarhar and Paktika provinces, warning that responsibility for the serious consequences of such attacks will lie with the other side.

Zia Ahmad Takal, Deputy Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that Afghanistan’s official protest note regarding the previous night’s airstrikes was handed over to Pakistan’s ambassador in Kabul.

Takal added that the ministry strongly condemns the violation of Afghanistan’s airspace and the bombing of civilians by the Pakistani military regime, describing it as a provocative act.

The Deputy Spokesperson stated:
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan strongly condemns the violation of Afghanistan’s airspace and the bombing of civilians by the Pakistani army. It considers this a clear violation of Afghanistan’s territorial integrity and a provocative action. The Pakistani side was clearly informed that protecting Afghanistan’s airspace is the legitimate responsibility of the Islamic Emirate, and the responsibility for the consequences of such attacks will rest with the opposing side.”

Meanwhile, the Ministry of National Defense also condemned the strikes, calling them a violation of international law and principles of good neighborliness.

Sediqullah Nusrat, Deputy Spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense, said:
“Continuing its past aggressions, the Pakistani military regime once again carried out airstrikes in several civilian areas of Nangarhar and Paktika provinces, including a religious madrasa and numerous civilian homes, resulting in the martyrdom and injury of dozens of innocent civilians, including women and children. The Ministry of National Defense strongly condemns this clear violation of Afghanistan’s national airspace and considers it a blatant breach of international law, principles of neighborly relations, and Islamic values. The ministry regards the protection of the country’s airspace and the security of its people as its religious and national responsibility and warns of an appropriate and calculated response at the proper time, God willing. Attacks on civilian targets and religious centers are clear evidence of the Pakistani military’s intelligence and security failures, and such repeated aggressions will never conceal their internal shortcomings.”

The Islamic Emirate’s reaction to the latest bombardment comes amid previous incidents in which the Pakistani military regime allegedly violated Afghanistan’s airspace and caused civilian casualties. In earlier retaliatory actions, the Ministry of National Defense claimed to have killed dozens of Pakistani soldiers and captured some alive.

Just last week, a delegation from Saudi Arabia visited Kabul, and at their request, as well as in respect for the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, the Islamic Emirate released three Pakistani soldiers who had been captured during clashes along the disputed Durand Line.

It is worth noting that, in addition to ordinary citizens, several politicians, former presidents of the country, and international human rights organizations have also reacted to and condemned the Pakistani military regime’s attacks on Afghan territory.
