Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Maulvi Amir Khan Muttaqi met with the Charge d’Affaires of Pakistan Obaidur Rahman Nizamani in Kabul on Tuesday April 18, 2023.
The ministry of foreign affairs of IE issued a press release, saying that Acting Minister Maulvi Amir Khan Muttaqi welcomed Nizamani’s return and added that the meeting will have positive effects on the diplomatic relations of the two countries.
It was also stated in the press release, that Amir Khan Muttaqi called the release of a number of Afghan prisoners from Pakistan’s prisons a progress and added that other Afghan prisoners should also be released before the arrival of Eid al-Fitr.
Meanwhile, the Chargé d’Affaires of Pakistan said that the country’s Embassy is eager to work with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan on a mechanism to facilitate the issuance of visas.
