Political Deputy PM Maulvi Abdul Kabir met with the delegation of Russian Muslims and Russians and Afghans’ ties were discussed in the meeting.
According to ARG’s Twitter page in addition to good relations, the current government’s positive interaction with Russia was also discussed in the meeting.
Maulvi Abdul Kabir requested the delegation to recognize the IE.
The Deputy PM said: “Bilateral cooperation was discussed in the meeting. We asked Russia not to be satisfied with diplomatic relations with Afghanistan, but to recognize the current government of Afghanistan together with other cooperating countries. We assure that Afghan soil will not be used against any country.”
Meanwhile, Japan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan has assured to pave the way for the Interim Government of Afghanistan to interact with the world along with bilateral cooperation in a meeting with the Administrative Deputy PM, Abdul Salam Hanafi.
ARG said in a tweet: “During the meeting of the Afghan and Japanese sides, bilateral cooperation was discussed. Japan assured that the country’s representative in the G7 meeting will ask for interaction and good ties with Afghanistan in the G7 meeting. Abdul Salam Hanafi reiterated that the Interim Government of Afghanistan will not allow that Afghan soil to be used against any country.”
On the other hand, a number of political commentators called such meetings useful for interaction and cooperation with the current government but believed that until some demands of the region and neighboring countries are not met, they will not be interested in the recognition of the IE.
After more than 20 months that IE established the Interim Government in Afghanistan, it has not been recognized by any country, but Afghanistan is often being discussed in meetings at home and abroad.
The representative of the IE is often talking about positive interaction, but it is thought that some domestic decisions have made the world at a distance with the current government and such meetings will reduce the distance.
