In the recent meeting of the Security Council of Pakistan, which was held under the leadership of the Prime Minister of the country, the leaders of the army and the intelligence have confirmed the joint military operation against the armed groups.
It has also been accused in the meeting that Pakistan has become unstable from the territory of Afghanistan and the recent attacks have claimed the lives of many Pakistani citizens.
Meanwhile, the conflict between the Pakistani military and the Tahrik-e-Taliban Pakistan is considered a domestic issue of Islamabad that many believed that it is not belongs to Afghanistan.
Some political experts suggested that Pakistan should resolve its internal issues and change its strategic depth towards Afghanistan.
“The best way is for Pakistan to change its strategy regarding Afghanistan and stop its strategic interference in Afghanistan’s affairs and accept Afghanistan as an independent country. TTP is an internal issue of Pakistan and the country should find its own solution, it is not belongs to Afghanistan.” Political commentator Hatif Mukhtar commentated
On the other hand, the spokesman of the IE, Zabihullah Mujahid, said the initiating of any movements and operation against any group in Pakistan is a domestic issue of the country, but the territory of Afghanistan will not be used against any country.
He added: “The commencing or not commencing of operation in Pakistan is a domestic issue of the country. The IE has reiterated that Afghan soil will not be used against any country and IE still considers it very serious. IE will not allow anyone to use Afghan territory against others. The issue of initiating operation against any group or individuals is Pakistan’s own business.”
According to reports, the operation of the Pakistani military will be carried out in the tribal areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, because attacks on the Pakistani army and police have increased there.
“The decision of the operation is also referring to the movement of the Pakistani Taliban. The concentration of armed groups is in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and tribal areas, and there are more possibilities of operations in these areas, because the attacks on Pakistani army and police have been increased there. The main problem that Pakistan has faced is the night binoculars that TTP has received and due to it police casualties have increased.” Said Tahir Khan a Pakistani journalist
Another concern of Pakistan is that it faces a threat from Afghanistan, which the Afghan government has always rejected.
The IE assured that it wants stability and security in Afghanistan and neighboring countries and will not allow anyone to use the territory of Afghanistan against its neighbor or any other country.
