At Dera Ismail Khan University in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, thousands of students, along with numerous cultural activists and scholars, participated in events organized to celebrate Pashtun Cultural Day.
Participants said the purpose of celebrating this day is to remember and preserve their traditions.
They also mentioned that such cultural festivals aim to promote unity among Pashtuns and send a message of peace to other communities.
One participant of the Pashtun cultural festival said: “The goal of this program is to convey a message of peace to the world and to show that Pashtuns are peace-loving people, who value harmony and have a deep affection for the written word.”
Another participant added: “We must keep our culture and traditions alive. Through programs like this, we want to showcase Pashtun culture, traditions, and heritage to the world.”
Previously, Pashtun Cultural Day has been celebrated not only across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but also at several universities in Pakistan, where exhibitions of Pashtun culture have been organized to convey a message of peace.
