ناشف: افغانستان یوازینی هېواد دی چې ښځې  کار او نجونې په کې زده کړو ته اجازه نه لري

Al-Nashif Calls Afghanistan the Only Country Where Women not Allowed to Work, Girls to Study

The Deputy of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Nada Al-Nashif called Afghanistan the only country in the world where girls do not have access to education beyond the sixth grade.

Al-Nashif added: “Afghanistan is the only country in the world where girls are deprived of primary education. Education, learning in classrooms and schools in communities are not just important for girls, but for the whole community.”

Meanwhile, Nada Al-Nashif calls the ban on women’s work in international organizations and some sectors regrettable and says that its continuation will hamper the process of providing assistance to the needy Afghans.

Al-Nashif added: “Afghanistan is the only country in the world that bans women from working in international organizations, including the United Nations, as well as in many sectors outside the home. It has a significant impact on the mission of the United Nations and other organizations to provide services to people living in chronic poverty.”

On the other hand, political analysts believed that the gap between the world and the IE will further increase the problems, and to resolve disagreements and other issues, along with political compromise, the Interim Government should consider changes in some decisions.

Despite these concerns, the United Nations Security Council is holding a meeting related to Afghanistan in New York, where the participants will discuss security, humanitarian assistance and the ongoing situation in Afghanistan.
