Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a press release, saying that the country’s Prime Minister Mohammad bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani held a meeting with Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian in Doha and discussed issues related to Afghanistan, along with other topics.
The press release added that the security situation in Afghanistan and efforts for stability were discussed in the meeting.
It was stated in the press release that both sides have stressed on increasing cooperation in the fields of economy, investment and trade.
According to the press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Hossein Amir Abdollahian expressed gratitude for Qatar’s efforts and initiatives in solving regional issues and problems, and emphasized Iran’s support in this regard.
