The United Nations Security Council has recently published a report on Afghanistan, accusing the Afghan Interim Government of dissension among its leaders, Afghanistan has become a hideout for terrorism, and government officials are involved in drug trafficking. Also, the government helps the opponents of neighboring and regional countries.
However, the spokesperson of the IE, Zabihullah Mujahid, calls the report baseless and full of bias.
Mujahid said the report is a repetition of the useless propaganda of the past 20 years and added that it is an obvious hostility towards the Afghan people and the current political system.
Mujahid strongly rejects the disagreement between the leaders of the IE and also the help to the opponents of the neighboring countries and assured that the IE will not allow anyone to use the territory of Afghanistan against other countries.
He added: “The rumor of disagreement between the leaders of the IE is a continuation of the propaganda of the last twenty years. We also strongly deny that the IE is helping the opponents of neighboring and regional countries or using the territory of Afghanistan against other countries. From the content of the report, it appears that either the author was facing a gap in information or deliberately distorting the facts, or the sources of the information are the fugitive opponents of the IE, and the IE insists that it is committed to its promises.”
Meanwhile, the acting Minister of Interior Affairs, Sirajuddin Haqqani, said that what is missing in the current political system of Afghanistan is prejudice, and the enemies have created a lot of propagandas in this regard.
Sirajuddin Haqqani called the failure of the international power in Afghanistan a result of their unity and presents it as an example to the world.
Haqqani added: “I assure you that there is no personal bias in the current political system. No matter how enemies strongly have spread propagandas and divided us into tribes, there is no such difference in this system. No matter how much the united people suffer from problems in the world, with our unity, Allah has brought the international power to knees.”
On the other hand, political analysts say that the United Nations is not independent and what Washington wants them, they do.
They believed that the UNSC recent report is a clear interference in the internal affairs of Afghanistan and it has been done for some political and economic interests.
According to analysts, the report was made by those who lobby against Islamic thought and Islamic systems at the international level.
“The recent report published by the United Nations Security Council regarding Afghanistan is completely one-sided and is a clear interference in Afghanistan’s internal affairs.” Jannat Fahim, a political commentator commentated
“The United Nations is not independent. It is under the influence of America. This is also a human crime that they are doing against Afghans and Afghanistan, as they have said now that there are differences among the Taliban, it is to keep Afghans in the crisis in order to achieve their economic and political goals.” Political analyst Turiyalai Zazai said
“The recently published report by the United Nations has violated the principle of neutrality. The designers and founders of the report are the people who lobby against the Islamic system and Islamic thought at the international level.” Said Hatef Mukhtar, a political analyst
Faiz Mohammad Zaland, a university professor uttered that the UNSC report has created a negative strategy for the interaction of the IE with the world and has further extended the path to the recognition of the government of Afghanistan.
He added: “The report has established a negative strategy for the international community’s interaction with the IE. According to the report, it does not seem that by the end of this year, the international community will take a concrete step to remove the names of the leaders of the IE from the blacklist, or to recognize the legitimacy of the state.”
The IE believed that the publication of such negative reports by the United Nations not only does not help the peace and security of Afghanistan and the world, but also causes people’s concerns and increase suspicion regarding the independence of the United Nations.
