After the collapse of the republic system, all former Afghan officials and politicians left the country and are now living in different countries of the region and the world.
The IE has established a special Contact Commission for the return of these Afghans. So far, many of them have returned to the country through communication with the Contact Commission.
The Contact Commission with Afghan elites wants all those Afghans who have left the country for various reasons to return.
A member of the Contact Commission, Ahmadullah Wasiq, said that a special process has been set up for the return of Afghan elites and former political figures to the country, and those who want to return, so first they should fill out a forum.
Wasiq added: “The Communication Department of the Contact Commission with Afghan Elites is active and serve for 24 hours. They can contact this department and receive the forms that are given to register their personal circumstances. We hope that all Afghans who left the country due to baseless rumors should return to their homeland.”
However, the former officials called the filling of online form to come back to the country insulting, saying the action does not match the Afghan culture.
They added that the IE needs to communicate with Afghan personalities through a delegation and their concerns should be answered closely.
Former Minister Omar Dawodzai uttered although the location and addresses of former politicians are known, no delegation has yet been sent by the IE and they are still waiting.
Omar Dawodzai added: “The Contact Commission’s attitude is insulting and does not match our Afghan culture and tradition. Inviting someone is not in that way, the form is available on the internet and you have to fill it. Instead of a form, go and talk to them face to face about their concerns, their addresses are obvious, some of them are in the United Arab Emirates or in Qatar or in Turkey or in the countries of Central Asia, but still no one on the behalf of the IE has yet met them.”
After the establishment of the Contact Commission with Afghan personalities, former officials and politicians at the level of Minister, Deputy Minister, Governor, and police commanders have returned to the country.
Ahmadullah Wasiq, a member of the Contact Commission with Afghan personalities, says that those who came to the country through Contact Commission now have a peaceful and secure life in their homes.
He added: “From the establishment of the Contact Commission with Afghan personalities until now, approximately 550 personalities who left the country due to gossips have returned and are now living a peaceful life here in their homes. These people include ministers, deputy ministers, governors, members of the provincial council, the senate and parliament members and police commanders who have returned to the country.”
Those who have returned to the country through the Contact Commission said that Afghanistan is their home, they cannot leave their home, but they also travel abroad.
“This is my homeland, we cannot leave it to anyone and we will not leave it. I go and come to the country. Sometimes, I go to abroad, and sometimes I am in the country, my family is here in Afghanistan, there are shortcomings and weaknesses, but we have reflected our voice in order to correct them.” Political commentator Kamal Nasser Usuli commentated
Those who came through the Contact Commission criticized the technical part of the commission, according to which some of the affairs are irregular.
Former Minister of Education Farooq Wardak, Hedayat Amin Arsala, former head of the DABS Amanullah Ghaleb, former first deputy of the former Senate Hasibullah Kalimzai, former deputy of the Security Council Abdul Hakeem Noorzai, former governor of Kandahar Toriyalai Wesa, former spokesman of the Ministry of National Defense General Dawlat Waziri and the former police commander of Zabul, Ghulam Sakhi Roghliwanai, are well-known former officials who have returned to the country through the Contact Commission.
