When the IE seized the power, the issue of establishing a national dialogue between Afghans for national reconciliation and permanent stability in the country raised.
The United States and Qatar have made great efforts in this regard, but it has not yielded any result yet.
Now, dialogue and meetings between Afghans, either they are officials and politicians of the previous Afghan government or IE’s officials, are considered essential and useful for Afghanistan.
A number of political experts said domestic dialogue between Afghans, whose goal is lasting peace and stability, is a useful issue that should be held, but if repeated political figures are wanted to participate in the government under the name of national dialogue, so it would not give desired consequences.
“After every war, the nations need to talk among themselves for the stability of the country, whether it is the republicans or the official of the Interim Government of Afghanistan and it is necessary for the goodness of the country. It must be done if it is named dialog or national negotiations, it is useful, but any prescription that leads to the installation of repeated political figures from abroad is against national interests and national consensus.” Political affairs expert Najibullah Jame said
“If a national dialogue held between Afghans in the country, national issues and the permanent peace of Afghanistan are discussed; this is a good move. If the national dialogue is defined as participation in the government, this is an unsuccessful experience; that has not given result before and is not given now.” Political commentator Shahzada Masoud commentated
Political experts are on the opinion that in the current situation where Afghanistan has a political problem with the world and is encountering the lack of a constitution and a bad economic situation at home, the only way to solve it is to hold meeting and talks between Afghans.
“The problems we are facing now, whether it is the legitimacy of the government, the establishment of the constitution, whether it is diplomatic problems with the international community, concerns about the geography of Afghanistan, or the Afghan people, economic problems. The only way to solve these problems is for Afghans to come together under an agenda that protect national interests.” University professor Faiz Mohammad Zaland uttered
Meanwhile, some political analysts believed that any kind of meeting and dialogue with former warlords and the officials and politicians of the republic is a war crime and attention should be paid in this regard.
In general, the issue of national dialogue among Afghans is largely supported and it is emphasized that the dialogue should be held at home on the initiative of Afghans.
The IE has not yet commentated in this regard, but the purpose of forming the Contact Commission with Afghan personalities abroad is to return them to the country.
