نړیوالو د شرعي حدودو عملي کولو په تړاو یو ځل بیا نیوکې کړي

The Intl-Comm once again Criticizes the Implementation of Islamic Criminal Law

Stoning, flogging and some other punishments that have been set for a number of faults in Islam are now carrying out by the IE across Afghanistan and its implementation has given rise to international reactions.

Earlier, the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) criticized the application of Hudud in a report, and now the UN human rights experts have appealed for its abolishment.

UN experts issued a joint press release, saying that these punishments are against international law and are inhumane.

The press release reads: “Stoning people or putting them under the wall and other similar torments and punishments are against international laws. We call on the de facto authorities to immediately stop all corporal punishment, including the death penalty and lashing.”

Meanwhile, a number of political experts suggest that if all the criminals in the country are imposed the same kind of Hudud and punishments, and then the world will not find any excuse to criticize.

However, the religious scholars consider the implementation of Hudud as an obligation in Islam and said that it is an order of the Qur’an, which is applied as a lesson and it is criticized by people who are not aware of Islam.

The IE has not responded to the request of the UN human rights experts yet, but previously it called the UNAMA report baseless and added that Hudud is a principle of Sharia.
