The US Special Representative for Afghanistan, Thomas West held a meeting with Jan Egeland the head of the Norwegian Refugees Council on Monday April 24, 2023, and talked about Afghanistan.
West said in a tweet that they talked about how to continue humanitarian assistance to the needy Afghans.
The US SRA has already met with some Afghans in Qatar and Turkey and discussed some issues with them.
Earlier, the head of NRC also came to Afghanistan and talked with the officials of the IE about allowing Afghan women to work in NGOs.
After the IE imposed bans on women’s work in domestic and foreign NGOs, many aid organizations have restricted their activities and requested the Interim Government to withdraw these decisions.
