Spokesman of the IE, Zabihullah Mujahid expressed a strong reaction to the report published by the Washington Post quoted the US Department of Defense (Pentagon), saying that Afghanistan has become a coordination center for ISIS and other extremist groups, and are planning large-scale attacks in America, Europe and Asia.
Mujahid called the Pentagon’s assessment and the published document fake and a part of the regular propaganda.
He added: “In such a period of time, irresponsible claims and self-made documents are being published by those intelligence agents who do not desire well for Afghans. The fake document published by the US Department of Defense is a part of propaganda. Some Western media published reports that a certified document of the US Department of Defense shows that Afghanistan has become a center of terrorism. We strongly reject the claim.”
The IE has recently increased operations against the ISIS armed group and destroyed its centers in different parts of the country.
Mujahid said that the IE has sovereignty over the entire country, Afghanistan has now become a peaceful country in the region, and according to him, the ISIS group has not only been left to rise, but it has also been defeated and is about to be abolished.
He added: “Despite the commitments and practical measures of the IE, Afghanistan is still being introduced as a hazardous country to the world and instead of welcoming of peace, stability, and the positive messages of IE, such biased reports show that some circles in America have not yet gotten over their hatred and enmity with Afghans. Everyone should know that now the public mind is getting over such failed attempts.”
On the other hand, a number of political analysts also consider the documents released by the Pentagon to be a part of the conspiracies and propaganda, according to which the US wants to once again introduce Afghanistan to the world as a terrorist training and rearing center and achieve its political goals.
Earlier, Jack Teixeira, a soldier of the US Air Force, shared a series of documents related to the US Department of Defense in a chat media called Discord, after which these documents fell into the hands of the Washington Post newspaper.
In these documents, some confidential documents of the US Department of Defense were disclosed, which included some important documents related to Afghanistan.
