Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Administrative Deputy PM held a meeting with Japan’s Ambassador Takashi Okada in Kabul on Monday April 17, 2023.
Okada acclaimed the progress has been made in the areas of strengthening security, prevention of corruption and the combat against narcotics.
The Ambassador has assured that he will raise his voice for cooperation and positive interaction with Afghanistan at the meeting of G7 countries.
Meanwhile, Hanafi said that security has been ensured in Afghanistan after 40 years of conflict. There is no threat to any country from Afghanistan, nor does the Interim Government allow anyone to use the territory of Afghanistan against other countries.
According to Hanafi, after the IE seized power in Afghanistan, the cultivation and smuggling of narcotics has been avoided and opportunity has been provided for investment in mining, now all countries, including Japan, can invest in Afghanistan’s mines.
He has also asked the international community and Japan to continue their assistance to Afghanistan.
