The Political Deputy PM of the IE, Maulvi Abdul Kabir, said in his recent statements that the Interim Government of Afghanistan has fulfilled all the conditions for international recognition and the world should recognize the current ruling system of Afghanistan.
Maulvi Abdul Kabir made these remarks in a meeting with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General.
Meanwhile, a number of political analysts said that the current political system of Afghanistan has power and rules over the entire geography of the country, but the lack of a constitution and being as an interim government are the reasons why it cannot be recognized.
“When the governments are established on the basis of national consensus, they rule over the entire geography, have a constitution and domestic legitimacy, but the Interim Government of Afghanistan does not even have a constitution, therefore it has not yet been officially recognized by any country in the world.” University professor Faiz Muhammad Zaland said
On the other hand, some experts believed that Afghanistan is no longer a hazard to any country, Afghans have a government in a united geography and the world should recognize the current Interim Government of Afghanistan based on international principles.
“Afghanistan’s geography is not a peril to any country, there is sovereignty. There is a geography, which is governed by Afghans; so the current political system should be recognized based on international laws.” Political commentator Hatif Mukhtar commentated
Political expert Turyalai Zazai deemed that the conditions for international recognition are not yet adequate, because the resumption of Afghan girls’ education and the permission for Afghan women to work are the legitimate demands of the Afghan people and the international community, which have not yet been accepted.
Zazai added: “The conditions are not provided yet, the issue of re-opening Afghan girls’ schools and Afghan women’s employment is still a problem. Until the problem is solved, the Interim Government should not ask for recognition.”
Earlier, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maulvi Amir Khan Muttaqi, had also said that the IE has fulfilled all the criteria that are needed for a country to be recognized and the Interim Government wants ties with the world based on mutual respect.
