About three years ago, a peace agreement was signed between the IE and the United States in Doha, the capital of Qatar.
Although both sides of the agreement accuse each other of violating the agreement, political experts believed that both sides have breached the important aspects of the agreement and if it was fully implemented, neither the Interim Government of Afghanistan would face any problem nor the US would have been worried about Afghanistan.
They are on the opinion that when the agreement was signed between the leaders of the IE and the representatives of Washington, no attention was paid to the executive guarantee of the agreement, which has caused problems in its implementation.
According to the political experts, both sides did not implement the agreement in the way that was required.
“During the signing of the Doha Agreement, both sides did not pay much attention to the executive guarantee of the agreement. There is still no monitoring group on it. There are some issues that the US has not implemented. Also, the Afghan government has not done the issues that should have been implemented on time.” Political commentator Qarib Rahman Shahab commentated
However, some others deemed that the US has violated the Doha agreement and imposed sanctions on Afghans, froze their asset, and also kept the names of the leaders of the IE in the blacklist.
They added if the US remains committed to this agreement and change its policies; it will be in the interest of both Kabul and Washington.
“The US has violated the Doha Agreement, and has subjected the nation of Afghanistan to sanctions. They froze the money; put the names of the leaders of the Afghan system in the blacklist.” Mukhtar Hatef, a political expert said
There are also criticisms on the way of signing the agreement, as many believed that it should have been signed in front of a third party and they should have been given the right to monitor its implementation.
Experts deemed that in order to properly implement the agreement and solve the problems of both sides, it is necessary for them to resume their meetings.
“The major disadvantage of the Doha Agreement was that the third party was not included in it. If the agreement had been signed in front of a third party, the violators would be obvious. Now they are blaming each other, so it would be better that they resume the meetings again in the presence of a third party and after that, the blame side would be clear.” Sayed Akbar Agha, head of the Khlason Lara Council said
It has been decided that a meeting will be held next month in Oslo, the capital of Norway, and the Doha agreement signed by the IE and the United States will be reviewed, but political analysts believed that both sides of the agreement have not been committed to the implementation of the agreement and until the it is not fully implemented, it is difficult to solve the problems and concerns.
