Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, said the countries that have imposed bans on Afghanistan are doing injustice to the people of Afghanistan.
Muttaqi uttered that the world’s sanctions imposed on Afghanistan are against all international norms because the sanctions even do not allow Afghans to transfer medicine or foodstuff.
Muttaqi asks the international community, which on the one hand talks about human rights and on the other hand imposes sanctions on the Afghan people who are also human beings.
He added: “Every side and country that has imposed sanctions on Afghanistan, they are oppressing the people. There is no such an article in the international norms that allow the imposing of such restrictions on the public, that affect the businessmen and the public. Such restrictions have been imposed that neither food nor medicine can be transferred to humans, or to animals, or to plants. We ask the international community, are these human rights, human principles? Aren’t Afghans human?”
Meanwhile, a number of political analysts call Washington’s policy against Kabul thwarted and request the international community to choose the way of interaction with the Afghan system instead of confrontation.
They believed that it would be good if the world accepts the government of Afghanistan and the Afghan people as a free nation and added the act will benefit both the international community and the Afghan nation.
“The US strategy regarding Afghanistan has completely failed and the United Nations strategy regarding Afghanistan is not neutral. We request the international community to adopt the path of understanding and interaction with the IE. The best way is to accept the system and nation of Afghanistan as an independent nation.” Hatif Mukhtar, a political commentator commentated
On the other hand, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of IE, said that all Afghans have the right to live a dignified life in their country.
Muttaqi also asks the international community not to create immigration cases for Afghans under the pretext that they are under threat in their own country, there is no threat here, security is safe and all people have a peaceful life.
Muttaqi added: “Afghanistan belongs to all Afghans, whether they like the political system or not, they have the right to live in this country. They have the right to trade and have the right to high honor; this message should be heard by the world, that they should not create immigration cases to Afghans under the name of saving their lives. They should not cause trauma to Afghanistan’s talents, academic staff and elites, they should not encourage Afghans to leave their country. They should not oppress Afghans anymore, that’s enough. They bombed the nation for 20 years.”
Recently, there have been reports that hundreds of professors of Kabul University have left the country and gone abroad, which have increased the concern.
However, the IE assures that all those Afghans who have left the country due to some rumors and reports, can return to their country and have a secure life.
